Do we need Claude?
No. Reports, stories and publishing work in finstory on their own. Claude adds the intelligence and automation, on your own Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). finstory works inside Claude through the finstory connector; other AI assistants that support custom connectors can connect too.
How long until our first story?
Most teams are live within two to three business days of the onboarding call. The call takes 60 to 90 minutes: we connect NetSuite, set up your first reports and walk your team through the first story.
We don't use NetSuite. Can we still use finstory?
Yes. You can load your actuals, budgets and forecasts from Excel today, and we are adding more connectors. Book a demo and we'll go through your setup before you buy.
Can we cancel?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the month you have paid for. Annual plans run for the full year and can be cancelled before they renew. Payments already made are not refunded.
What happens after the early-bird period?
Your early-bird price stays locked for as long as your subscription runs. New customers after the early-bird period pay the standard rate of $2,500 a month.
Is our financial data safe?
Built to SOC 2 standards. finstory is hosted on Google Cloud and encrypted in transit and at rest, and your data is never used for marketing or demos. The details are on our security page.
Can the AI make up numbers?
No. Every figure comes from a governed report on your data, with an audit trail back to the source. The AI sets up the reports and quotes them; it never calculates a number itself. When the data can't explain a move, it asks you.
Can we still present in PowerPoint?
Yes. Export any story to PowerPoint with editable tables and charts, or share it as a secure link that shows who read which page.
Does this replace our FP&A team?
No. It removes the copy-paste and the first draft. The judgement, the context and the conversation with the board stay with your team.
Does finstory do planning or consolidation?
No. Keep building your budget and forecasts, and running your consolidation, where you do today. finstory turns your close, budget and forecast into the board story.
